IEYC Incursion: Weather Wonders

Students of K2 embarked on an exciting excursion with BMKG, with the theme “Let’s Feel the Weather,” where they took part in a hands-on learning experience about the weather.

The youngsters had the opportunity to learn about complex weather concepts through engaging activities and fun interactions. Through this experience, the children gained a deeper understanding of their everyday weather changes, perhaps even answering their lingering questions about why certain changes occur.

This excursion gave way for new information to be learnt, especially the key takeaway: why weather monitoring matters. The students were able to understand the importance of weather monitoring and its impact on the environment and communities – truly a very important lesson taught through direct interaction with experts in the field.

Additionally, what truly made it special was how the kids approached it. They weren’t just sitting and listening – they were observing, taking part, and questioning in order to properly understand weather patterns, climate changes, and natural phenomena. Such dedication will only lead to improved critical thinking and communication skills.

Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience for the students of K2, and a great reminder that learning is best when it is collaborative and genuinely enjoyable.
