Sampoerna Academy L'Avenue participated for the second time in the Owlypia Jakarta Round 2026. But what really is Owlypia? Owlypia is a famous, global competition where students go beyond traditional learning and are equipped not only for exams, but for their success in life and efforts to improve this world.
Six of the school’s Primary students, Gibran Ngudi Ghanizar, Marvel Rasendria Herdian, Miya Kinasih Alonso, Elena Nauli Muñoz, Keisha Calia Azzahra, and Aline Sophia Ong, participated in this very event, completing the Impromptu Challenge, Speech-Craft, the Knowledge Challenge and the Team Spirit Challenge.
By putting in their maximum efforts, our friends were awarded the following medals–very well done, fellow students:
Keisha Calia Azzahra –🥇Gold
Aline Sophia Ong –🥈Silver
Marvel Rasendria Herdian –🥈Silver
Miya Kinasih Alonso –🥈Silver
Gibran Ngudi Ghanizar –🥉Bronze
Elena Nauli Muñoz –🥉Bronze
Their most noticeable strengths were in the speaking components of the competition: the Speech-Craft and Impromptu Challenge. The students showed strong qualities of confidence and were able to organise their thoughts and ideas carefully, even under time pressure. Likewise, they showed an impressive understanding in the Knowledge Challenge, especially when it comes to working with well-familiarised books and articles. Also, the Team Spirit Challenge was a great event, showing good amounts of cooperation.
In conclusion, the Owlypia Jakarta Round 2026 was an amazing experience for the students. It helped them build confidence, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and develop their ability to communicate their ideas thoroughly. With beneficial and consistent training, future participants of our school could improve not only for this event; also for their success in the future.
