RAZ Kids 2026 Star Donation Challenge

From K2 to Grade 6, students at Sampoerna Academy L’Avenue take part in the RAZ Kids Reading programme as part of their ongoing homework. Students are required to read a certain number of books each week using the RAZ Kids platform.

For every book they read, listened to, or completed quizzes for, students earn RAZ Kids Stars. These stars can then be used to build and customise their space-themed avatar and space station, making reading more engaging and enjoyable for students

At the end of the school year in April, students also had the opportunity to donate any remaining stars through the 2026 Star Donation Challenge. Students could choose to donate their stars towards providing books, filling school libraries, or funding teacher training in economically challenged countries around the world. After the stars were donated, a monetary donation was made on behalf of participating students to support Room to Read, a global education nonprofit organisation that helps children develop foundational literacy skills.

Through this challenge, our K2 and Primary students are able to see how reading and learning can also positively impact the lives of others. This challenge also taught students about charity, kindness, and giving to those in need.
