Grade 2 Field Trip to Agrowisata Kuntum Farmfield

On Friday, 7 February 2025, the students of Grade 2 embarked on an exciting and fun field trip to Agrowisata Kuntum Farmfield, as part of their learning activity “Food Chain and Life Cycle,” to learn more about nature and animals and broaden their understanding of the topic by providing a hands-on experience.

The day was filled with engaging activities to make learning fun and interactive. One of the many activities included feeding the animals, which helped them see and experience how different animals eat and survive, giving them a good understanding of food chains in different animals. Another activity was harvesting organic vegetables, where students learned about farming and plant life cycles. There were many other activities, like greeting and ticketing, a fishing game, painting straw hats, and horse riding, which added to the exciting experience.

Experiencing these concepts in real life made learning more meaningful. Instead of just reading about food chains and life cycles only in textbooks, students saw them in action—how different animals have different diets and ways of life, how plants grow from seeds to crops, and the process of maintaining them. Observing and participating in these activities gave them a deeper understanding of the environment and ways to apply the lessons they learned in daily life.

Overall, the Grade 2 Field Trip to Kuntum Farmfield was a memorable and enriching experience. It not only deepened students’ understanding of food chains and life cycles but also brought a sense of responsibility toward nature and sustainability. With plenty of fun and learning combined, this trip was a wonderful way to bring lessons to life in a way that students will surely remember for years to come.
