Sampoerna Academy L’Avenue hosted the 2025 University Fair for Secondary years last October 11 2025. This was a valuable experience for those who are uncertain about their career decisions and need a deeper understanding of the untapped potential that numerous universities have to offer.
Some universities that attended the fair included the University of Toronto, University of Monash Australia, Australian National University and plenty more with exciting prospects to propose to willing students. Countless of these universities are able to offer scholarships with even some universities giving full ride scholarships - which could elevate a student’s opportunity to thrive.
The future depends on the preparation towards it and with this fair, students are able to gain a clearer path for the time ahead. There is an endless variety of occupations and it can be very overwhelming to decide. Therefore, the University Fair allows students to listen to those who were in this position of predicament and how they navigated through it.
Each university stall had their very own representative guiding the students through the information. Stacks of flyers and business cards were put on the table with university souvenirs for students to take home. Students were also able to gain information from the university in the future for updates, as they were put on the email list. The University Fair also spread Indonesian culture, with performances from Sentul and L’Avenue with dances such as G10 who performed Bungong Jempa, and G11 AS who performed Yamko Rambe Yamko.
This event was attended by G10-12 and their parents of Sampoerna Academy L’Avenue, Sentul, and BSD campuses. When asked about the importance of such an event, Arnetha from G11 IB said that “the Uni Fair broadens the student’s horizons because they are able to explore more universities especially for those students desiring to go abroad.”
Zahra from G12 IB described the University Fair as “very useful, gives a lot of hints and choices of countries and universities, good for determining target universities”.
Aurel from G12 IB also stated that the Uni Fair was “extremely helpful for Sampoerna Academy students, especially for 12th grade students, so the choice of subjects/majors is not just one or two, but many specific choices”.
Overall, the University Fair served as an important starting point for students as they prepare for their future studies. The event provided clear guidance, practical information, and direct access to university representatives, helping students make more informed decisions about their academic paths. With the support of the school, students are now better equipped to move forward with confidence toward their chosen careers.
