Business Seminar Inspires Young Entrepreneurs at SA L’Avenue

Earlier this term, our school hosted a business seminar highlighting the importance of startups and entrepreneurship, featuring insights from industry experts and stories from their business journeys. In collaboration with Brightspot Market, the event aimed to inspire students by providing them with knowledge to explore various business strategies.

To learn more about the seminar, Mr. Eldo Pappu, the school’s Business teacher, shared his thoughts on the lessons and the impact taken from the event.

The seminar emphasized the value of turning ideas into functioning businesses and highlighted how startups grow and survive in a  fast-changing market. It also explored the challenges of being an entrepreneur, such as networking and figuring out how to take the first steps on launching a business. The speakers shared advice on attending industry events, joining startup communities, and not being afraid to start small. Building confidence and learning as an entrepreneur were important lessons. 

The seminar also emphasised the importance of having the right mindset and support when pursuing entrepreneurship activities. Mr. Eldo Pappu took this idea from the event, saying: “With the right mindset and support, anyone can turn an idea into a real business.”

Many students found the seminar inspiring, and it sparked conversations about their future and the importance of entrepreneurship. Events like these are crucial for schools, giving students real-world experiences and opportunities to prepare for their future careers in business.
